I have to turn on the controller AFTER I started the game up, otherwise Steam sees the controller first, and I'm back to square one.Enter the Gungeon is a 2D comedic sci-fi fantasy top-down shooter developed by Dodge Roll and published digitally by Devolver Digital for the PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, and Linux on April 5, 2016. Before the game could take minutes to open - freezing and unfreezing, until the "Q / triangle"-thing happened.Īgain: Thanks for taking your time to help me :) The controller never got the yellow light, as I chose when first "added the controller", so by bypassing "Big Picture"-mode, accessing the game was also made easier.įurthermore, the game opened smooth and fast. I can, once again, enjoy the game :)ĭidn't even open Steam in "Big Picture"-mode. (Writing this to my past self and future people who might struggle with it, in a short simple sentence)Īs a "noob" when it comes to locating a problem like this (and not knowing what to do about it), and never heard of "Xinput", you have my sincerest gratitude. I just right-clicked the game, and chose "Launch Options" and then typed "-xinputonly" in the controls menu. It worked! Thanks a lot! You made my day :) It's like it dosen't know what to do.Īnd somehow, now I can't open the steam menu in-game with the controller, to try to map the controls or something. That's perfect! However, after a few seconds, it begins to jitter nervously back and forth to Q and triangle. Plug and Play.Īnyway, when I start "Enter the Gungeon" I notice how a "skip intro" button switched from Q to triangle. Sidenote: Just tried playing "SuperMeat Boy" - it worked flawlessly.

The game knows it's a PS4 controller, because it shows the X and triangle buttons and so. Highlight newgame or options - but I can't push any button. I even changed the color at the back of the controller via Steam.īut when it came time to play, It dosen't work! I can only control the menu in game. So I did - Steam saw that it was a PS4 controller. The next day I opened Steam in Big Screen mode, I had to register "a new controller" it suddenly could see now.

Didn't have to map a single button - it just worked! Opened steam in big picture mode, opened "Enter the Gungeon".

In the case that you are indeed using a wireless adapter, I recommend downloading the drivers from this website as they have adapter support: *the NES30 gamepad will continue to blink blue during use.Īs for the standard 360 controller, you need to either be plugged in via USB or buy a wireless adapter for mac. So you would have to:ġ) hold R1 + the power button for 3 seconds WITHOUT it plugged into your macĢ) once it's on and blinking blue once for each second, plug it into your macģ) the controller should work once you launch a game after you've completed the previous steps Xinput mode for the NES30 gamepad requires you to be plugged in via micro-usb cord (the one they include works well) because the Xbox 360 drivers do not support bluetooth.

Also using 360 driver and a standard 360 controller, have to run it on my PC tower for controls to work, really sucks not being able to play this game away from the desk. Originally posted by BeardlyBeano:I can't even switch it to XInput mode on my Macbook for some reason.
